Four major European operators commit to supporting OpenRAN

Four of Europe’s largest operators have committed to supporting and deploying OpenRAN solutions.

In a joint statement today, Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Telefonica, and Vodafone said they are joining forces “to support the rollout of Open Radio Access Network (OpenRAN) as the technology of choice for future mobile networks to the benefit of consumer and enterprise customers across Europe.”

Verizon has announced the expansion of its 5G Ultra-Wideband (UWB) network to cover a greater number of homes and phones.

Three UK awards multi-million backhaul contract to CityFibre

Three UK has awarded a multi-million backhaul contract to CityFibre, the UK's largest alternative provider of fibre infrastructure.

CityFibre has gone from strength-to-strength since it was established in 2012, with network projects ongoing in over 60 cities and plans to reach eight million homes.
