BT has launched a “transformational” security platform called Eagle-i that aims to counter rapidly increasing threats.

Over the past six months, BT has identified an increase in malware traffic of more than 50 percent. Cybercriminals are seeking to take advantage of the global shortage in security professionals and enterprises need solutions to keep pace.

Eagle-i combines AI with BT’s network insights to predict, detect, and neutralise security threats.

Kevin Brown, Managing Director at BT Security, said:

“Security is now at the top of the boardroom and government agenda – yet many organisations are seeing their cyber risks increase to unmanageable levels. This situation demands a new, proactive approach.

Eagle-i leverages the latest advances in AI and automation to continually monitor, learn, and evolve so customers can stay a step ahead of cyber criminals.”

Eagle-i learns from every intervention to consistently improve and refine how it protects customers from threats across a multi-cloud environment.

BT says Eagle-i can integrate with existing technologies across the security ecosystem to enable organisations to bolster their defenses without replacing their existing investments.
